Sad news for SpongeBob lovers. Its creator, Stephen Hillenburg, died last Monday 26 at 57 from a chronic disease diagnosed in March 2017. He himself revealed just a few months ago that he suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neuromuscular and degenerative disease that, to this day, has not found a cure. The Nickelodeon network was in charge of communicating the sad death through his Twitter account.
