What are transgenic foods?

From the hand of an increasingly advanced technology and the true nature of human beings always wanting more, transgenic foods are born. They are organisms that have in their composition one or several genes different to those with which they were born. Therefore, we are talking about Genetically Modified Organisms. The main reason why the organism is genetically modified is simple: it is provided with characteristics that the organism did not previously possess. For example, seedless watermelons and grapes, brightly coloured tomatoes and apples and all that fruit that seems to be in season when out of season, are examples of transgenic foods.
