Why can’t we introduce liquids on the airplane?

Have you ever been held at the airport security checkpoint for carrying liquids or for someone else to carry them? As if going through the airport security checkpoint wasn’t enough. You take off your shoes, empty your pockets, take your laptop out of your backpack, etc… How did they come up with this absurd idea of not entering the plane with liquids?

We can understand why you are not allowed to enter the plane with scissors and corks, as they are small and sharp. But what’s so dangerous about a bottle of water or the bottle of your favorite perfume? The first thing that is clear is that it has something to do with security, since in your checked baggage you can carry as many as you want. We live in a modern world, where anyone can create a bomb with a simple bottle of water or toothpaste. Let’s get started!
